In 2020, Tailorford founder Tim Goletz set out to fill the gap of unisex products in the skincare industry. He began Tailorford after feeling frustrated at the gender-specific branding of skincare. Whether it was a men’s face wash with overly synthetic “manly” fragrances and outdated packaging or a skincare brand with feminine-leaning advertisements, it seemed that skincare was overwhelmingly defined by gender.
